Private cloud stories
Choosing Save to cloud sends story text, metadata, content warnings, and AI declarations to our Neon PostgreSQL database. Selected covers and posters are stored as original files in private MEGA S4 storage. Access is checked against your signed-in creator account. Saving does not publish a story. Archiving hides a story from your workspace but retains its text and original images; a permanent-deletion workflow is not available yet. Removing an artwork selection also retains its original file.
The editor attempts to retain unsaved text in this tab for recovery. Pending image files must be selected again after reloading. Export text and details for your own backup, and download artwork originals separately. Cloud records are not end-to-end encrypted by Vulpenyx.
Browser-only drafts
Draft text, uploaded covers, content warnings, and AI declarations are stored in this browser’s local storage when you save. While you write, the app also attempts to retain an unsaved copy in this tab’s session storage for recovery. New drafts are separated by signed-in account in the interface. Older pre-account drafts are preserved and can be explicitly exported by the owner. Browser-only drafts are not uploaded unless you explicitly transfer a copy and choose Save to cloud. They are not encrypted by the app; anyone with access to your browser profile can read them.
Clearing site data can remove your drafts. Browser-only drafts do not sync across devices. Export drafts to keep your own backups, and delete a draft from Creator Studio when you no longer want it stored here.
Browsing and search
This app includes no advertising trackers or cross-site analytics. Search terms appear in the page URL and may be retained in browser history or hosting access logs. Do not enter private manuscript text into public search.
Hosting
Vulpenyx uses Vercel for hosting. Serving pages can involve routine request information such as IP addresses, request URLs, device information, and timestamps. Browser-local draft storage is separate from those hosting logs.
Accounts
When account services are enabled, Clerk handles sign-in, identity verification, and account sessions. Account details you provide and technical information needed to secure your session are processed by that service. Vulpenyx verifies your session to return your own account information. Authorized administrators can review account identity and security status. The site owner can assign roles and suspend access; the latest access change records the acting account ID and time. Optional SDK telemetry is disabled. Signing in does not upload or sync browser drafts, and signing out does not erase them.
Features still to come
Payment collection and private messaging are not available. Account access is intended for an invited private alpha; a complete privacy policy, retention rules, and age-appropriate onboarding are required before public registration.
